Society is changing, and an educational model conceived during the industrial revolution, which prioritized standardization, repetition, etc., has little to do with today's world.
The world is increasingly dynamic and dominated by information technologies. Knowledge is available to our children as never before... with just a click, they can obtain all the information they need, and collaborative learning is the order of the day. According to experts, 4 out of 5 children will work in professions that do not yet exist...
Education must inevitably change to adapt to the new times... and from my point of view, it should focus on educating the person in a much more holistic way, taking into account their feelings, emotions, capacities, attitudes, talents... and thus develop competencies, skills, and aptitudes that will allow them to be happy in the future.
I leave you with this video/documentary (it's only 8 minutes long and worth it) in which a preschool teacher explains different techniques for working on emotional education with children. It's a fantastic documentary that can inspire many parents... (you can activate subtitles in the video's toolbar)...
I am very happy to see that more and more of us are concerned with offering our children a broader education, not based solely on cognitive and academic aspects, an education adapted to each child's abilities in which emotions play an important role.
I got emotional watching it... perhaps because I am currently looking for an educational center for my daughter... I hope you like it!!
