Why do children stop trusting their parents to tell them their problems as time goes on? Why does this happen? And what makes them often prefer to talk to a professional rather than their parents? Why does this relationship of trust between parents and children diminish over time? This is what Thomas Gordon, a psychologist and author who popularized the term active listening, analyzed and studied.
Today, in this video, I bring you a resource that this author explains to usto prevent this from happening to us. It is a resource he calls "door openers," which simply encourages them to tell us more and prevents them from feeling judged, attacked, or even unaccepted.
I hope it is useful and helpful and inspiring to you :)
Tell me if you think it can be useful to you, either in a comment below or on social media, and if you have other resources or reflections to prevent the loss of trust between parents and children :)
