One of the fundamental characteristics of children is their immense capacity to be surprised, excited, and enthusiastic about things... that innocent gaze that makes any small experience capable of becoming the most amazing adventure... and that makes the simplest things the most important in the world...
I love seeing my children jumping up and down in the hallway at home when I take out their favorite cookies, when I tell them "today I'll let you fill the bathtub with foam" or when I tell them that tonight I'll read them a special story that they'll love... in that case, my little one starts asking me every two minutes how long until I tell it to her....
They also get very excited helping me make their favorite dish, pizza. Before putting it in the oven, they're already licking their lips, and once it's in, they start saying "hello pizza... I'm going to eat youuu..." or when I let them do something new like squeezing oranges for baby food or mixing ingredients to make pancakes...
Another thing my daughter loves is preparing a surprise gift for someone... how much she enjoys the whole process... preparing it, wrapping it, and then giving it to the chosen person... Not to mention the excitement they feel when Dad comes home from a trip after not seeing each other for days... they don't hold back in showing their joy and emotion: jumping, making faces, and singing!!
It is they who, with that enthusiasm, turn all those everyday moments into special and unforgettable moments... and who, in a way, make us return to childhood, to relive all those illusions and to emphasize the things that are truly important in life...
Many times I think... how easy it is to make them happy now... ohhh... I don't want them to grow up... hehe... and it's because the day will soon come when their favorite cookies, foam in the bath, or Mom's story will no longer be able to produce such great emotion or make them so happy...
So, let's take advantage now to nourish those illusions in them... How? Let's tell them stories, let's take them to the theater, let's play with them and develop activities that motivate their creativity and imagination... it's not necessary to wait for a special celebration like a birthday, Easter, Christmas, Carnival, etc., any excuse is good to create special moments that contribute to them having a full and joyful childhood... And let's also be infected by it!!
Do you dare to tell us what fills your children with emotion and excitement?
