We recently debuted our creativity cart and we couldn't be happier! Do you know what it is?
Well, we bought a cart like the one you see in the photo and filled it with all those things we have scattered around the house that we use for so many activities…

Since we have 4 trays, after spending a good while collecting and organizing, it turned out as follows:
- In the first tray we put three jars with pencils, paints, brushes, and pens. We also put the tray of a small tupperware to hold tape, glue, scissors, and some markers… and also a super cool little box we had at home where we put all the threads and ribbons that we can use to make necklaces or bracelets.
- In the second tray we put watercolors, play-doh, modeling paste, and various stamps.
- In the third tray a bowl with many buttons of different colors and sizes, and a tupperware with feathers, pom-poms, and eyes, many different eyes ;). We also put a few toilet paper tubes (which are very useful for many things) and a bunch of those bendable cords… Also pendants and beads for making bracelets.
- The fourth tray we left for different types and colors of paper (some very nice scrapbooking ones), others of foam, tracing paper… We even put carbon paper, which was a great discovery for the little ones!
Since the cart has wheels, the idea is that children don't have to ask for or look for things, but can grab it and take it wherever they want to do all those activities they love so much… they were eager to try it out!
I think it's a very simple way to, on the one hand, maintain a certain order at home and, on the other and even more important, to have all the tools for doing things with their hands within reach and in one place.
They were delighted! Now we just have to hope they keep things a little tidy, but I think they will.
Did you like the idea? How do you make all the tools accessible to them?
If you liked this idea, share it!
